Masonry-built outdoor kitchens with stone counters, built-in grills, and bar seating — integrated with your patio and pool deck as one finished space.
Cook, Host, And Never Leave The Party
Outdoor kitchens are the most requested addition to Lowcountry outdoor living spaces, and for good reason — the season here runs nine months long. Palm Shore Hardscapes & Design builds fully custom outdoor kitchens in masonry and stone, sized for the way you entertain: built-in grill and side burner, refrigeration, sink, storage, and an island or bar where guests gather. Everything is designed with the patio and pool deck so the finished space feels like it was always part of the house.

(843) 338-7417Built in Masonry, Not Dropped on a Patio
An outdoor kitchen is the difference between cooking outside and living outside. Our kitchens are built from the ground up in masonry — not a prefabricated island dropped on a patio — with framing, stone or stucco veneer, and stone counters chosen to match the home and stand up to salt air. We design around the appliances you want, from a single built-in grill to a full cooking line with side burners, a smoker, a pizza oven, and refrigeration.
Outdoor Kitchen Layout Comes First
Layout is where most outdoor kitchens go wrong. We plan the work triangle the same way a kitchen designer would: grill placement for smoke and wind, counter space on both sides of the cooking surface, refrigeration within reach, and seating on the opposite side so the cook stays part of the conversation. Utilities — gas, electrical, and water — are roughed in during the hardscape phase so nothing is retrofitted through a finished surface.
Countertops & Finishes for the Lowcountry
Countertops are specified for the Lowcountry: granite and quartzite for durability and heat resistance, honed finishes to reduce glare in full sun, and sealed edges at every appliance cutout. Stone veneer, brick, and stucco finishes tie the kitchen to the architecture of the house and to the seating walls and fire features around it.
Designed With Your Patio & Pool Deck
Most of our outdoor kitchens are built as part of a larger patio or pool deck project, and we design all of it together — the kitchen footprint, the dining area, the fire feature, and the lighting — so the space works as one room. Where a pergola or pavilion is planned, we coordinate footings and roof lines with your builder.
Choosing an Outdoor Kitchen Design & Build Team in the Lowcountry
An outdoor kitchen involves masonry, stone, gas, electrical, plumbing, and appliances — and the team you hire should own all of it. Palm Shore Hardscapes & Design builds the structure, sets the counters, and coordinates the licensed trades for every utility, so you have one point of contact and one warranty instead of four subcontractors pointing at each other. We work regularly in Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Okatie, and Beaufort, and we've been through the HOA and Architectural Review Board process in most of the region's gated communities. If you're planning a pool deck or patio at the same time, we design the kitchen as part of that project rather than as a separate job, and the finished space reads as one. Every outdoor kitchen carries our one-year structural and cosmetic warranty, and we'll provide the drawings and material specifications your HOA or Architectural Review Board requires.
What Drives the Cost of an Outdoor Kitchen?
Outdoor kitchen pricing follows the layout and size of the masonry structure, the appliances you choose (from a single built-in grill to a full cooking line with side burners, a smoker, a pizza oven, and refrigeration), the countertop (granite or quartzite), and the veneer finish (stone, brick, or stucco). Utility runs are the other big variable: how far gas, electrical, and water have to travel, all roughed in by licensed trades during the hardscape phase. Building the kitchen together with a patio or pool deck, or coordinating it with a pergola or pavilion, also shapes the scope. Every quote starts with a free site visit, includes the drawings your HOA or Architectural Review Board needs and our one-year structural and cosmetic warranty, and the price is fixed in writing before work begins.
